Should the sentencing system be more flexible .......?

It doesn't seem harsh to me to be honest. Her friends begged her not to drive yet she carried on and said "It's my car I'll drive if I want". Very tragic indeed. I just hope all parties concerned, especially the family of the deceased can move on and come to terms with the tragedy. However, the justice system is not consistent at all. I feel that the family's of victims who fall prey to these low lives and s should have the unconditional right to appeal against low sentences meted out. This may bring true justice back.
