Should I peirce my ears or not ?

when i went to get my ears peirced they asked me if i was allerigic to anything and i asked them why they were asking me.....apparently if ur allergic or think ur allergic to something, they told me that AVIOD stainless steel studs at ALL COST, and she reccommanded that i use Gold studs because u will NEVER get infections because of a stud if u get ones made from gold.....also make sure if u do decide to get em done, clean them with antiseptic regularly.....i got mine done at claire's, but one of my friends that is pretty much allergic to EVERYThing, got hers done at a hospital.,....it was very non risky and sterile!
