Why do people mis-label modern post- bands as "screamo"?

Finally someone with some common sense. It's shame that shitty bands such as Attack! Attack! and Bring Me The Horizon get clified in a genre that hosts powerful, emotional music like I Would Set Myself On Fire For You, Yaphet Kotto, Envy, Joshua Fit For Battle, Jeromes Dream, etc.
