Hi i have a fuji s8000 with a zoom of 18x now i try to take a picture off a marsh harrier and i just could not?

That's the problem with a digital zoom, it reduces the sharpness of an image. With 8MP, you should be able to max out the optical zoom and then crop the image on your computer. It may look small on your camera, but good high resolution can still grab details you will see when you blow it up on a computer screen. If the distance is really too far to get a decent shot, look at investing in a spotting scope and camera adapter. That can get you real close.
