I am going on a week-long mission trip to Honduras this summer?

What are the things I should expect? I know that I am going to have to work a lot under uncomfortable heat. I am not fluent in Spanish, but I can easily converse. Will a week in Honduras increase my fluency in the language? What do the Hondurans think of Americans?
